1. Avoid The Fast Food Industry

Fast foods should be avoided. The emerging of the fast food industry has caused a big problem in the United States, as well as many other countries. Many studies have been conducted and they all link fast foods with obesity. People who allow themselves to eat fast food at least three times a week are at high risk to face weight issues further down the road. You will never lose 5 pounds in a week if you continue to eat at fast food joints. Just to show you how serious of a problem I am going to show you an example meal from Burger King:

Double Cheese Burger 500 calories 29g fat 31 carbs

Large Fries 400 calories 20g fat 43 carbs

Dr. Pepper 220 calories 0g fat 53 carbs

2. Eat Breakfast Every Day

It is true what your mother told you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Eat a bowl of cheerios and glass of orange juice. Breakfast is important because it allows your metabolism to become accelerated. A faster metabolism means more calories burnt and more calories burnt equal weight loss. It is nearly impossible to lose 5 pounds in a week without eating breakfast. Eating breakfast will actually increase your basal metabolic rate too. If you are not eating breakfast I would highly recommend that you start. Stop eating those convenient pop-tarts which contain 400 calories. Avoid those bacon and eggs breakfasts’ meals which are saturated in chlorestoral.

3. Drink Plenty Of Water

Water does your body good and you should consume 1.9 liters (8 cups) of water a day. Avoid drinking those soda pops and replace them with water. Soda has lots of calories and carbohydrates and can add up very quickly. Water is one of the key ingredients that keeps us alive. Water is vital if you want to lose 5 pounds in a week. Our body is made up of 75-80 percent of water. Water is important in weight loss because it accelerates our metabolism. By drinking a tall glass of ice cold water it actually burns calories because it causes your body to work extra hard to raise your body temperature up to its optimal level.
