Early Bronco was built from 1966-77. Since it was the first generation of Bronco, it has been long dubbed the Early Bronco. It was built as a marketplace competition to the International Scout and the Jeep CJ5, both of which were short wheel base (SWB) four wheel drive (4WD) vehicles. The Early Bronco, often called the EB, was a capable off-road and street driving rig. It’s short wheel base provided tight turns. Since the years after its production ended, it has gained a widespread following of books, videos, user groups, Bronco discussion forums, and much press for the aftermarket marketplace selling Early Bronco parts.
