One would think that buying a new coffee maker would be a rather straight forward process. It really isn’t. There are a lot of different things to consider.
How many cups do you want your coffee maker to make at one time? Having a coffee maker that makes ten cups at once is great if you have five or more people to drink it. However, if you are enjoying your coffee by yourself, then making it one cup at a time makes more sense. There is no reason to pay for a full pot of coffee is you are only going to drink a cup or two.
How hard is it to clean? Some coffee makers have to be taken apart and each piece cleaned separately. Others are made for simple clean up.
Do you want to be able to buy your coffee (or cappuccino or espresso or hot chocolate) pre-measured? Most coffee makers require you to measure your coffee into a filter, but there are some you can get that come with individual, pre-measured packets. All you have to do is pop in the packet, push a button and in a minute or so you’ll be enjoying your coffee.
