The Plank:

This is pretty much like a push-up that got stuck half way — except you are on your elbows. Lie face-down on the floor — now lift yourself up on your elbows and toes (place your elbows directly under your shoulders). Try and keep your body straight. Hold for 20 to 60 seconds, lower and then repeat for 3-5 reps.

The Bicycle:

Lie on the floor, face up this time and put your hands to the side of your head, behind your ears. Bring your knees up to a 45 degree angle. Pull your head and legs up and start “to pedal.” Touch your elbows to the opposite knee (left elbow, right knee — right elbow, left knee.) Keep doing these for 12-15 reps.

Vertical Leg Crunch:

Lie down — face up on the floor, again, and raise you legs straight up with knees crossed. Flex your abs to lift each shoulder blade off the floor as though trying to sit up. Lower both legs and repeat for 12-16 reps.

These exercises should start to get your stomach into tip top shape very quickly.
