Cat lovers, has this ever happened to you ? You come home from another long day at the office. Your feline buddy is sitting on your easy chair. You go over to pet him and all of a sudden he takes a bite out of your finger.

If it has, I can certainly sympathize with you. It happened to a
buddy of mine several times when I was with him and believe me it wasn’t a pleasant experience for him, myself or the cat.

Typically cats will bite if they are left alone for hours on end with no interaction with anyone or anything. Biting is just your cat’s way of telling you that he needs some attention. Cats get bored just like us. When they get bored enough, they bite.

So what cat training aides can we use to stop cats from biting ?

The answer is interactive toys. Now I’m not just talking about a ball or a little plush mouse or some plain cat toy. Those toys are fine
supplemental toys for your cat. But I’m talking about toys that actually do something when your cat plays with them. Even better are some toys that you and your cat can play with together.
These types of toys really redirect your cat, keep him focused, and provide great mental/physical exercise.

Some examples of these cat training aides include:

1. Laser beam – This is my favorite. This usually comes in the shape of a mouse. Point the red beam all over and watch your cat chase that light. He’ll really get a good work out.

2. Kitty Go Krazy – This toy really is three in one. An electronic arm simulates mouse movements on a track along with a talking ball and other attachments that make for hours of fun.

3. Cat -a-Trail Cat Play Tunnel – This tunnel comes with two fuzzy balls of catnip attached to the inside. Since cats love to play in
secluded areas, yours will have a blast inside this tunnel.

If you don’t use these types of cat training aides to stop your cat from biting, you might want be very careful about placing your fingers anywhere near your cat’s face.

There are more cat training aides available to help you with any cat behavior problem you might have. Go to http://www.squidoo.com/cat-training-aides for details.
