Time to replace that old analog CRT TV? Confused about who makes the best TV? It’s really not a difficult decision. Stick with the major brand models like the LG 32LH30 and make a quality decision with your eyes. The eyes never lie. I have been very impressed with LG. They are a leader in consumer electronics. They have an all star line up of televisions at just about every price point. The LG 32LH30 is a fantastic entry level LCD TV that performs like a high level player.
HD means high density. It’s buzz word that is almost meaningless now days because it’s nearly impossible to purchase anything but an HDTV. Basically, when you watch anything that is produced in HD on an HDTV, you will have the clearest and sharpest image ever seen. Video gamers and nature buffs alike go crazy over the clarity of the on screen image. But I must warn you, once you go HD, you can never go back. It’s just not the same.
With prices relatively low and the foot print of TVs like the 32LH30 LCD so small, people are rapidly replacing their old analog CRT TVs. Units like the 32LH30 are only a 3.1 inches thick! To give you a perspective, they are fractionally a little larger than your computer monitor! Another factor adding to dumping these old TVs is the growing availability of HD programming-both online and off-line. The difference in watching HD programming is about as stark as comparing color television to black and white television.
LG’s picture-adjusting controls are better than most entry-level HDTVs. LG added a Picture Wizard that makes use of internal test patterns to assist you perform at home-basic-calibrations of the controls for brightness, contrast, color, tint, horizontal and vertical sharpness, and back light. After you get the desired results, the settings are saved to the Expert1 picture memory slot.
The connectivity of the 32LH30 LCD very good. It offers two HDMI ports, an AV input + composite video, a RF input for antenna or cable, an RGB-style analog PC input, a component-video input, and an optical digital audio output located on the back panel. On the left side is the 3rd HDMI input, plus the 2nd AV input with composite video.
