Why is it so difficult to make money online? It seems that there is plenty of information to guide you. Since the internet has exploded the opportunity is surely there. Doesn’t everyone want to make extra income without leaving their house and setting their own hours? Though this might all be true, it is not that simple.
1.Focus- working from home is not the same as leaving your house for a job. I’ve done both and focusing (at home) on a daily basis can be difficult. There is a tendency to take time off or be easily diverted from your goal. If you’re not focused on your task intently then you open yourself up to those distractions that can be harmful to your mission.
2.Drive- This can easily be tied to focus. How badly do you want this to work? How important is it for you to succeed? There is nobody monitoring your actions and no accountability other than to yourself. Your drive, if strong enough, will determine to a great degree your level of success. You must look inward before you decide to make this journey to determine your level of motivation because it is directly linked to what you will accomplish.
3.Lack of Knowledge- this is a very complicated field that requires a tremendous amount of knowledge in order to be successful. Where and how you obtain this information is critical to your success. Don’t be fooled by false promises of get rich quick schemes. Unfortunately, I explored them and they don’t exist. There are so many things such as SEO, keywords, backlinks, article writing, etc. that must be learned in order to compete with everyone else. You must have this knowledge if you expect to be a participant in this arena.
4.Lack of Support- This is so important. From my experiences, I will tell you that probably 90% of programs that promise you 24/7 support are lying-no other way to put it. They want your money and then you’re on your own to figure out how to work the information that was sent to you. It doesn’t work unless you have people who want to help you to succeed. You need a strong mentor and a strong support system in the form of an accessible forum (people like you who were there and now are willing to help you get to that place as well). There are very few that will offer you this key component but they do exist. Find them because it will make your journey so much more rewarding.
5.Giving up too soon- There is no quick fix to make money but effort, hard work and patience are essential. There is also a lot of frustration (like any business) that can break you down if you let it. Most people give up too soon because they don’t see quick results and the frustration becomes overwhelming. Understand that this is a business and that this is part of the growing pains needed to reach your destination.
