Every one of my runs now begins with the push of a button on my Garmin Forerunner 305. As the miles begin to click over, I am able to get an instant readout on my pace, heart rate, elevation change, calories, etc. Once I push that button, I am at the will of the GPS watch to tell me when I need to speed up, slow down, or time to call it quits.
The GPS Watch keeps me training within the optimal zones to make sure that I am getting the most out of every training run. If it is supposed to be an easy run, the watch will tell me when my heart rate gets above a certain figure. If I am supposed to be running hard, I can match the pace on the watch to where I should be at for that workout.
