Want some great tips, and to learn to sell products on eBay? Truely, the selling options on ebay never come to an end. On ebay you can sell nearly anything, any product will do. For example, one person sold a wad of chewing gum that came from a celebrity, a girl sold her boyfriend, opps!, and I even saw one man sell himself. In fact another offered to wear someones advertisement on his forehead for $100,000.00. But hey those are very extreme examples to say the least, there are some interesting and strange people out there.

Want to know the very best way to get set up quickly and without a lot of costs? I am going to share that information with you now. I am also going to show you how to get better and better at selling on ebay. You’ll improve as we go whether you already sell on ebay or not. We will talk about buying on ebay and also about selling on ebay. I’m also going to tell you a few little secrets not too many people know about.

Look online everywhere and you will see people who are giving out information on how to work on ebay. Please remember not all information is good. Get the right information and get started working hard and you will be successful on ebay. Thats a given. This article has proper techniques in it, but it is going to be your job completely to carry them out.

The first thing you will need is a good digital camera. The pictures you put up of your item will make you or break you. A good picture will be the difference between getting a sale or having your item roll off unsold. You should buy a 4 mega pixel digital camera. This will give you the best quality.

Ebay accounts are free. I suggest you get two email addresses, you can get a second one at http://www.gmail.com. Once you have your account set up, buy a few things to get some positive feedback. People tend to look at feedback first so if you have one or two positives up on your ebay account before you start to sell, that should make selling quicker and easier for you. That is just a suggestion. I actually started without doing this.

The next thing you will want to do is fill out your about me page.
Introduce yourself and make people feel safe about buying from you.
If you have a webpage, ebay also allows you to put a link to your webpage right on your about me page. You can tell them something like “This is my website” and put a link. You are not allowed to put selling language but a simple link is fine. You should take a look at Ebays terms and conditions and make sure you are following all the rules.

Now just to get you started selling, you are going to want to clear the cludder from your house and put things on sale that you don’t need anymore. This will give you some cash to work with and help you realize quicker that you really can sell on ebay.

Getting Deeper into Selling on Ebay

Start on the right foot. You want to be a good person and its important how you treat people. Treat people good from the beginning and they will be your repeat customers. Believe me you want to have repeat customers.

Write descriptive titles of your items. Titles matter tremendously!
Make sure your pictures are clear. People want to see how your items look up front and personal. They are looking for scratches, and cracks among other things and if they can’t tell what they are buying they usually won’t buy at all. Your description also should be clear. People want to know all they can about the item so write a lot and tell everything you can think of. Make sure, above all else, you list in the correct catagory. Price your item low to bring more bidders to your item and maybe start a bidding war. Be fair with shipping costs. Reply to people quickly if they have questions, and if you can do research and learn the ropes, selling internationally will bring many many more sales to your ebay front door. Package your items well with bubble wrap.

Now, what about more products? Well, a bit ago I mentioned clearing out the clutter but what do you do once the clutter is gone? Well I would suggest antiques, furniture and collectibles. Go to rummage sales. You know what they always say, “One mans trash is another mans treasure”.

Buying Products on Ebay

You may be asking yourself why would I have a section on buying products on ebay in a article about selling products. Well, the answer is simple. You can make money buying products and then turn around and resell them on ebay.

Here are the two ways you can do this. You can buy and sell on ebay exclusively or you can buy at another place like a flea market or another auction house online for example and then sell on eBay. This will require you to do some online research but it is fun and if you get good at it you can make a lot of money for yourself.

There is no need to make this complicated, it is simple really. You buy a good product at a very low price from someone and then you take the item and relist it, doing everything you can to sell it at a higher price.

I suggest you find one kind of item, in a particular niche and get good at doing this. This can be your online income generator.

Working from home has so many wonderful advantages. It also has some possible pitfalls. Your routine while working from home is totally different than your routine was when you reported to the job site.

It is easy to succumb to the slightly lazier way of life. I am sure your work ethics are just as high as ever. The possible pitfalls are in the area of your physical health and well being.

• Your eating habits can take a turn for the worse when you are working from home. The kitchen is always right there and accessible. It is easy to grab a munchy here and there and start the habit of eating while you are working.

• More than likely, you don’t move around as much as you did when you worked at a job on site. There are no long hallways to walk down or co-workers to see which constantly had you up and moving.

• It was easy enough to drive to the gym before or after work to get your exercise. When you are working from home, going to the gym might require an extra trip out which could seem like a chore.

• Your competitive edge might round out a little bit. I think this could be especially true for women. The truth is, being around other people motivates us to keep up our physical appearance more.

• At one point in time, you might have given anything to get away from those petty co-workers. Just be careful not to isolate yourself too much from adult interaction when you are working from home.

• Remember to take care of your eyes. Take some quick breaks from the computer and let your eyes take a quick rest. My ophthalmologist recommended to look away from the computer every twenty minutes or so and focus on a different distance for a minute to reduce eye strain.

Make working from home benefit your career as well as your health. Eat right, get some exercise and get out of the house every now and again!
