Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. . . by T. Harv Ecker…Jump Start Your Life
Written by wellness web coach on November 25, 2007 – 5:38 amI orderd Secrets of the Millionaire Mind from Bookwise last week, but I already read it about one month ago. I didn’t have my own copy but knew I needed to keep this one in my library.
The author’s biggest message is you don’t have to make your life a mess!
Everything is connected to your wealth. How you live, how you feel about yourself, and how healthy you are will be barometers of your wealth. Your wealth, will dictate your health in many different ways. Most of all, your attitude toward your life and the action you take will give you wealthy results. If you value your money…not just money but your money, you will have valuable experiences.
Secrets of the Millionaire Mind is a good starters handbook for Bookwise associates. If you buy it, write in it, taking notes that will move you to take action. Read it over and over. Anyone who has read it, let me know how you feel about the book.

Weight Loss in Ten Minutes
Written by wellness web coach on November 25, 2007 – 5:35 amWeight loss does not happen quickly for most people, but there is a critical point that becomes so motivating, success seems to be effortless and permanent.
This success has nothing to do with the latest supplement touted on infomercials. They may be helpful but they are not the reason people lose weight. New fangled gym equipment is not the secret either, although exercise is important and a convenient workout allows people to stick to a fitness routine. Pre-made diet meals are useful when pressed for time, but they are not the only ingredient in successful weight loss.
There is a critical point when someone truly desires to commit to a new health plan. For many people who have been overweight for years, being in shape is a long lost memory rather than a reality. The thought of beginning the challenge seems impossible. Over weight issues are so commonplace the underlying message is that it is the norm. When everything is super-sized the temptation is hard to refuse. Modern day diseases that are life-style related are now treated with maintenance drugs that ironically make it more difficult to lose weight. It is as if our culture is trying not to let us reach that critical point to welcome better health in our lives.
When people lose weight successfully and quickly there are two common denominators. They reach a point where they realize they were much too comfortable with their excuses and then they chose a manageable eating plan that did not leave them feeling deprived. Discovering these realizations helps people get past the indecision that prevents them from succeeding.
Of course, losing weight must be done in a safe manner. Although it takes a number of months to achieve weight loss, the benefits are felt immediately. The empowerment of a committed decision is just the beginning. A manageable weight loss plan restores someone’s energy level so there is a feeling of thin even if the scale doesn’t reveal the goal weight yet.
Being able to replace an old mind set of impossibility with accomplishment is the greatest weight loss there is. If you can lose the weight of failure, the actual weight loss is easy.

Affordable Self Help
Written by wellness web coach on November 25, 2007 – 5:33 amDr. Phil, Dr. Laura, and Dr. Joy Brown are just a few of the many self help gurus out there to help you make sense of this confusing world. Motivational speakers and life coaches such as Anthony Robbins and Tommy Newberry also aid us in recreating our lives for increased fulfillment. Because they spent their entire lives honing their crafts, their speaking and teaching fees are fairly high. Even if you shop for professionals who are not as famous but equally talented, the standard fees are in the hundreds or thousands of dollars.
That does not mean you are forever out of the personal development market. Since the most successful people are those who are continually learning and looking to incorporate new knowledge and ideas into their lives, they make a regular practice of doing some type of independent study. Even if you cannot fly out to the latest exotic location to attend a life transforming seminar, there are many simple steps you can take now to grow your mind.
1. Books
You can always keep a paperback handy in your brief case or purse to pull out at any break, quiet moment, or time you have to stand in line. Have a pen handy to underline and write notes inside the covers. If you order books through Amazon or Barnes and Noble, you will get email updates of similar self help books or the newest publication of your favorite author.
2. Library book clubs
Find a local library that holds book club meetings. Many book clubs highlight novels but more non-fiction clubs are forming. This allows you the opportunity to interact with others who are reading the same book and bounce ideas off one another. It’s like having a room full of supportive coaches.
3. CD’s and other audio
For long car rides and commutes, listening to a motivational speaker on your audio player is quite a time saver. Many MP3’s can be downloaded from internet sites now, as well. Many authors offer free downloads to introduce their work to the public. This is handy because you get a sneak preview to what they offer.
4. Teleseminars
Without leaving your home to go to a hotel based seminar, you can get on your phone and dial in to listen, and possibly ask questions or listen to others’ questions being answered.
5. Talk to your boss
If you find speaker or good topic that pertains to your occupation or would be a nice contribution to the employee wellness program, let your boss know. Explain why you see it as a win-win for the company as well as the individual employees. It becomes a deductible training expense and everyone around you also gets to participate.
To get the most out of your self help endeavors, keep a notebook for listing your goals with a step by step achievement plan. As you write your plan, include your favorite quotes from authors and speakers that have been influential. Reread them on a daily basis for continued inspiration. Write down simple reminders to help you stay on your transformational path. These are crucial for reinforcing new habits that may still be easy to drop when the usual distractions get in the way.
As you become more familiar with different motivational speakers you will find it more fulfilling to attend their seminars because you already understand their basic teaching messages. It also gives you more time to plan for the extra expenses of a seminar such as travel, hotel, etc. Going the least expensive routes first such as the suggestions listed above allows you to make a well thought out purchase whether you are interested in personal coaching, or seminars. Enjoy the journey.

Written by wellness web coach on November 25, 2007 – 5:30 amIn the Marketing Pond, You Sink or Swim
Has any of the following happened to you?
Joined biz ops that told you, you would make a fortune and you never made a dime.
Joined under deadbeat sponsors that would not help you.
Joined MLM opportunities in which you had to have hundreds to thousands of members in your downline before you made any significant money.
Advertised until your fingers felt like they were going to fall off, maybe signed up one member just to watch that one member drop out a month later.
Joined programs that disappeared seemingly right after you paid.
Involved in a great business opportunity but you have little to no idea where or how to advertise it.
You cannot get support even if your butt was on fire…you are sure no one would bother to throw water on you.
You are a total newbie and have no idea what steps to take to earn money online.
You have been marketing online for years and you either spend more than you make or you are lucky to make a dollar.
You have a small budget or no budget to sink into risky online ventures.
You have joined hot fire sales and wondered why you joined because nothing lit a fire under your bazookers.
You have joined fire sales and after you joined, you were shown something else to buy and then…..something else to buy…and then something else to buy….
You have read PS PSS PSSS and even PSSSSS until you count PS’s in your sleep instead of sheep.
As a Marketing Pond member, you’ll discover how to make free money online.
First, let me tell you what Marketing Pond does NOT have.

The Key Ingredient to All Self Improvement
Written by wellness web coach on November 25, 2007 – 4:34 amThe foundation for all self improvement is your thinking.
Wellness Web Coaching at Your Doorstep ~~~ Get all the great teachers on demand at a killer price
There is a saying, “If you want to change your life, change your thinking.” Many books have been written on the subject; e.g., Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, Power Thoughts by Louise Hay, Power Through Constructive Thinking by Emmet Fox. If you search on Amazon.com in the “books” category for the key words “the power of thought” you will get over 30,000 titles. Even I was surprised.
Think about it. (No play on words intended). Everything first begins with a thought. For example, the thought “I need a way to hold these papers together without having to fold the corner” brought forth the paper clip - something most of us take for granted. Thomas Edison must certainly have though about how nice it would be to have light without candles or oil lamps. Someone in cold country must have thought about and longed for indoor plumbing. It is the same with self improvement.
Self esteem is one of the issues most often dealt with in any therapy practice and is the underpinning of many other issues. Ponder the words self and esteem. How do I think of myself? It is a critical issue and there is no real “quick fix.” Someone else can tell me how wonderful I am but if I have no “buy in” to the statement, it has no impact on how I think of myself. Nothing changes in me. My self esteem issues develop because of my own thinking about myself. To improve my self esteem I must change the way I think about me.
Our self esteem develops over the years and is unique to each person. Identical twins living in the same home with the same parents and experiencing the same lifestyle and environment can react very differently to what they experience.
A simple question by mom, for instance, can impact two children in opposite ways. “Why did you do that?” To one child it is a question requiring a simple answer, “Because I wanted to…” To another child it implies criticism and/or doing something wrong. The first one answers the question and goes on with his day. The other may spend some time wondering “What is the matter with me?” This implies that something is definitely wrong with me.
The time we spend dwelling on a thought and the emotion we attach to it determines how great the impact is. If we dwell long enough on “I’m not good enough,” and have strong feelings of not-good-enough we will establish a belief about ourselves that we are not-good-enough or not-as-good-as. And this grows like the concentric circle around a pebble thrown into the water, expanding and expanding until it can immobilize us emotionally.
Most of us don’t go to the extreme that we become immobilized. However, many escape into the TV, or a cause, or drugs and/or alcohol in an attempt to avoid their thoughts about themselves.
But doesn’t it make sense that if you can create poor self esteem with your thoughts, you can un-create it with your thoughts? To put it another way, if you can make yourself feel bad with your thoughts, can’t you also make yourself feel good?
How do you do that? Like Nike says, “Just do it.”
There was a time when, at an all time low, I put sticky notes around where I could see them. I wrote on them things like, “I love and accept me just the way I am right now.” It helped me refocus on my positives instead of my negatives. The phrase “God don’t make no junk” also helped me rethink my worth.
This may not be the starting place for you, but some things are essential to the process:
- Gratitude: Become aware on at least a daily basis of all the things you have to be grateful for.
- Awareness: Be aware of you negative thinking and, without beating yourself up over the negative thoughts, began to replace them with positive thoughts. Notice how often you say the words can’t, won’t, don’t, shouldn’t, but, etc. Take them out of your vocabulary.
- Forgiveness: Old angry feelings carried over a period of time will eat you up. Forgive the person (s) who hurt you and let it go. This can give you a new freedom and a feeling of power and well-being.
- Seek Help: In the beginning you may need to seek help to get your thoughts and emotions sorted out. Let someone you trust help you see the real you. Let them “play back” the words that speak of negativity and reframe them into positive self talk. . Let them help show you your beauty and strengths as well as the emotional “warts.” The beauty can be enhanced and the warts can be removed.
There is no better time than now to begin to love and appreciate who you are. Start now by thinking something nice about yourself.

Stress Free Holiday Shopping
Written by wellness web coach on November 25, 2007 – 4:28 amThe most stressful time of the year for many people is the holiday shopping season. The long lines, the strain on your bank account and the seemingly endless list of things to do is enough to make you consider buying your gifts from a local gas station. While shopping at a gas station may save time and money, handing your significant other a bottle of motor oil and a chocolate bar might put strain on your relationship.
So how do you reduce stress and still give great gifts? Shop online! When you buy your gifts on the internet, you bypass the long lines and you can take advantage of the huge sales and discounts being offered by online merchants.
The pressure to get the best deals during this season can be overwhelming, so before you start shopping for Christmas gifts get organized. The first step to reduce holiday stress is to make a list of people that you need to buy gifts for. The list should include gifts for family and friends, co-workers and charities that you plan to donate to. With a list prepared in advance you can take a lot of uncertainty out of the equation as well as leave ample time to fix any problems should they occur.
Now that you have a list made you can focus your attention to putting together a budget. Break your list up into categories and decide what percentage of your budget you will spend on each category. So for example you could spend 70% on family and friends, 15% on co-workers and 15% on charities. To find the cash amount for each category just multiply the total budget by the decimal equivalent of the categories percentage. For example if your budget is $1000 and your budget for co-workers is 15%, you would spend $150 (1000 x 0.15 = 150). Once your budget is complete you can direct your attention to finding the perfect gifts for the people on your list.
Shopping for the right gift is often easier said than done. Don’t worry if great gift ideas aren’t flooding your brain, just stay organized. Take your list and run through the names. Under each name make a small list of interests and needs each person has. Having interests listed beneath the name will make shopping easier by allowing you to focus on specific shopping categories. Now that your list is more detailed, shopping should be a breeze.
What if you’re still having trouble finding the right gift? No problem. Many online merchants have gift departments or gift finders that you can use to get gift suggestions. These departments list popular products that will fit into any budget. Once you have found a gift it is important to read any customer reviews or complaints that have been posted. Remember that these reviews aren’t written by experts so take these comments with a grain of salt and judge the product by what the majority of people are saying. You can also visit sites such as Consumerreports.org for more detailed information.
When you are satisfied that the gift in mind is a quality product you can now search for the best deal. Start by using price comparison search engines to compare prices. Look for the best price from reliable stores. Read some of the merchant reviews to make sure that the store is reliable. For extra information visit the Better Business Bureau website. The Better Business Bureau contains unbiased, objective information on businesses.
When you’ve found a price that fits into your budget there are ways you can save even more money. Visit one of the many coupon/bargain websites and look for any coupons or sales they may have. Bargain websites can save you lots of money so if you don’t find a coupon right away be patient. During the holiday season many merchants are releasing new coupons on a daily basis.
Before buying your gifts make sure to check the shipping details. The last thing you want is to have you gifts not arrive on time. Figure out when you need your gifts to arrive and then add an extra week just in case your package is delayed. All you have to do now is order you gifts and that’s it.
With all your holiday shopping out of the way and with plenty of time to spare you are free to sit back with a cup of eggnog and actually enjoy the holiday season. By finishing your holiday to do list early it will give you more time to spend with your family, after all that’s what the holiday season is all about.

Medical School Admission Requirements More Than Grades
Written by wellness web coach on November 25, 2007 – 4:23 amWhen considering a career as a doctor, you will find that the medical school admission requirements are more then grades that you make in undergraduate classes. There are many other requirements that you will need to fulfill in order to have the strongest chances of being admitted to the US medical school of your choice. When you start planning your undergraduate studies, you need to already know the general medical school admission requirements that you will need to fulfill.
One requirement that many undergraduates overlook are extra-curricular activities during your undergraduate studies. It is important in the field of medicine to give back to the communities that you will have a practice. Additionally, people in the field of medicine must have strong leadership, communication and social skills. These skills are developed through extra-curricular activities. The majority of US medical schools evaluate the types of extra-curricular activities and the number that students participate in during their undergraduate studies. Thus, as an undergraduate it is important to participate in extra-curricular activities at your college campus.
Another one of the common medical school admission requirements is volunteer time or work experience in the field of medicine. Students are encouraged to spend time in the community as volunteers in health related volunteer positions. Even though in medical school students will complete a minimum of three years of residency under a licensed physician, undergraduates are still encouraged to participate in volunteering in the community in medical field related services.
As you can see it is important to do more than just meet the academic requirements to get into a good US medical school. However, your academics are important for the medical school admission requirements. The majority of medical schools require that students have a minimum of one year in biology, physics and English. Many require a minimum of two years of Chemistry and a set number of hours in the humanities courses. It is also important to have strong computer skills and communication skills. Meeting all of these requirements will make it easier to be accepted into the US medical school of your choice.
All of the medical schools use your score on the medical school admissions test in order to determine if you are eligible for enrollment. The schools also look at your over-all grade point average combined with your class ranking. Many of the schools will require that you write a personal essay to be submitted with your application. They will then combine all the academic requirements, scores, grade point average, quality of the essay, life experience in the field of medicine, extra-curricular activities and their perception of leadership skills to determine if you meet all the requirements to be enrolled in that particular school of medicine. You can find out more about medical school admission at http://www.usnewsmedicalschools.com
It is important to plan your undergraduate studies with the full knowledge of the medical school admission requirements for the US medical school of your choice. During your final year of undergraduate studies or even after you have graduated is not the time to start learning all the requirements. It takes planning and implementing a solid plan to not only meet the academic requirements but to meet the other requirements as well. Planning and fore-thought will increase your chances of being accepted into a US medical school of your choice.

7 Ways to Drive Laser-Targeted Traffic
Written by Daniel on November 24, 2007 – 12:09 amAn affiliate marketer may have all the things needed for him to be able to succeed in a business such as affiliate marketing. He may have the necessary drive, diligence and perseverance to be able to understand how the system works. He may have all the tools necessary in maintaining the business, including a really unique and interesting website which could earn him a fortune if only the whole world could see it. However, all these would prove useless if he does not know how to drive traffic to his website. His business would sink into oblivion together with all the sales, fortune and dreams that he might have realized if he only knew how to do this particular task.
Getting people who matter to see one’s website is a difficult undertaking if he tries to consider the fact that there are rivals everywhere waiting to pin him down. The immensity of the internet as well as the affiliate marketing world has given birth to the fierce competition between affiliate marketers, each of whom has his own great product to offer. With all the websites piling on top of each other, how would one be able to stand out? The seven best ways to drive laser-targeted traffic to one’s own website would help those who are bent on sticking it out with this business wherever it is bound to take them.
The first step in driving traffic to one’s website is by relying on search engines and what they can do for the affiliate marketer concerned. Because they are popular for driving free targeted traffic, they should not be ignored by all means. Having top search engine rankings is vital in building popularity links, and the use of the right keywords is important in attaining this goal. Once a website is on top of the list, it is easily accessible to anyone who wants to see it for himself.
The second way in driving traffic to one’s website is by contacting other webmasters for a possible link exchange partnership. Locating websites that are related to one’s own website is the primary task. Once there, he should be able to establish communication by personalizing everything as much as possible. It is then possible to make reciprocal link exchanges between webmasters whichever way the affiliate marketer prefers.
The third way is through writing one’s own articles. This is an effective way in promoting a website, because good content that are appreciated by readers will lead them to visit the writer’s very own website out of sheer interest.
The fourth way is through joint venture marketing. This is one of the most effective ways of promoting a product or a service. Having a partner through ad swap or link exchange is beneficial to both parties as it allows them to reach a wide customer base in a short amount of time.
The fifth is through joining affiliate programs. Having affiliates to do the work means allowing them to bring tons of traffic to a website. Skyrocketing sales would be realized as a result, and both the affiliate and the website owner will benefit from the situation.
The sixth is by having a list of subscribers that one can refer to every so often, because they are those which would prove to be valuable assets for the marketer concerned. The use of autoresponders and personalized newsletters is one way of keeping track of them all, and holding on to them by letting them know about new products and services is an essential task that should be done by the affiliate marketer concerned.
The seventh is by knowing one’s market through and through. It is important for traffic to be targeted to those who might have a special interest in the theme or topic of one’s website. This way, a solid customer base is going to be created. Once a potential customer shows an interest in a particular website by paying it a visit, one must not waste time in trying to show him that his effort is worth it.
Traffic generating strategies are important in trying to make one’s affiliate marketing career inch forward. It is always advantageous to plan one’s moves in any business that he might undertake. This is particularly so in affiliate marketing. If one knows how to get people to see what he has to offer, then he is on the right track.
