Bargain digital cameras
There are as many types of bargain digital cameras as there are places to get them. When considering what digital camera to get you firstly must decide whether you want to buy a digital camera that originally was very expensive or a not so expensive newer camera.
Decide what you want
If you want to buy a camera that you can grow into as your knowledge of digital photography increases then you may want to get a semi professional digital SLR, and because of the prohibitive cost when new you would probably think of sourcing it from an internet auction site, well, before you go down that route check out your local photography shop as sometimes when people are buying new kit they may part-exchange their old camera. Buying from this source means that you have somewhere to return to if there was a problem.
Another Consideration
The other thing to consider when buying an SLR type of camera is the cost and availability of accessories, because it would probably be an older mode just check that any accessories you may require can still be obtained (these you may be able to get from an auction site).
Please remember that when buying a bargain digital cameras that you will have to carry it around with you, and while it is all well and good having a nice big camera with a host of features to use, lugging round 3-4 pounds of camera all day plus accessories can get rather tiring.
New, But Not NEW
If you are looking to get as new a camera as you can keep your eyes open for adverts or articles regarding a new camera launch, as this normally means there are retailers that want to clear stocks of the old model before the new one hits the shelves, and savings of between 30-40% are not uncommon.
Price comparison websites should be updated regularly with the latest prices and will show retailers whose prices are the lowest for a particular makes and models. Amazon is a great resource as they show prices for new ones and a range of prices and sellers’ descriptions for used ones.
Make Sure it is a Bargain.
Buying a bargain digital camera won’t seem such a bargain if it doesn’t work properly so try and stick to a camera by one of the big manufacturers such as, Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Sony, Pentax, for SLR’s, and Panasonic, Fuji, Pentax, Ricoh, Canon, Nikon for pocket digital cameras.
Stay away from gimmick cameras and ones that just seem too cheap, remember you get what you pay for, and some photo’ opportunities can’t be repeated so you don’t want to be let down by your bargain digital camera.
