Post pregnancy exercise is an important factor in losing weight after pregnancy.
You can diet all you want but true weight loss post pregnancy can only be achieved if you work out and make your body burn all that excess fat.
You also have to be consistent with your post pregnancy exercise if you want to get rid of your mommy belly. This is the most effective thing you can do that will keep your fats off for good. But more than being fit and sexy, exercise also keeps you healthy and strong too.
Aim for exercises that work out the different parts of the body at the same time so you can burn more while exercising less. Exercising even just 15 minutes a day can bring great results.
Aside from exercising, other important steps you need to take to lose weight after pregnancy are:
1. Set a fitness goal. Having a goal helps you to stay focused on what you want to achieve and to motivate you to do what it takes to achieve it. Remember that it’s important to have a specific and realistic goal because this is more effective than simply saying you want to lose weight.
2. Eat healthy min-meals frequently. There are three keys here: healthy, mini and frequently. Healthy means including protein, fruits and vegetables in every meal. Mini means your food should be in controlled portions. Frequently means 4-5 times a day: 3 main meals and 2 snacks in between.
The key thing that will help you to lose your postpartum weight is to have a doable and simple step by step plan that you can follow until you see the results.
Remember that just learning about losing weight after pregnancy is not enough. You have to actually follow and do the exercise and fitness plan for it to work.
It doesn’t have to be a big overwhelming change. Just small steps are okay for starters because you’ll see your small efforts will soon add up.
